Unreal. This is from Dell Canada's Website

I am glad I ordered my 9400 when I did. Right now (and we all know how things change) you can only spec this laptop with radeon x1400.....in fact it does not even give you an option since it's being called a free upgrade....and 7200 RPM drives are no longer being offered on these models.....This is accross all of the various base setups that you can build on.....

Just out of curiosity do you think this is Dell trying to differentiate the inspirons from the XPS's? I think most people can do without the lights and unless you wanna spend 500cdn on the 7900gtx card the machines are essentially the same.

Anyhow, if this is old new my appologies....but I make it a habbit to check pricing and options consistantly before a system I order ships.....I have saved myself hundreds that way....but to know how close I came to having to live with an x1400 is almost scary....especially when somehow.....(and Dell you are famous for this) managed to keep the price the same by forcing a couple really stupid options....or charging more for this part or that. My guess is they got a whole bunch of X1400's in stock and need to blow them out...possibly with a return of the 7900gs option down the road.

I didn't check the Dell.COM US site, but if they only did this to Canada consider yourselves lucky.......and if they only did this to Canada....thanks Dell for making canada your dumping ground for outmoded technology.....YIPEE!!!!

HA! I went to the following link
    http://www1.ca.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/nb_9400?c=ca&cs=CABSDT1&l=en&s=bsd
If you click on the "customize it" button below the picture it shows the graphics card options.

However if you only click on the photo's of the various 9400 laptops at the top of the page it opens a customize page for each one....however the Graphics option page is missing from all of them.

On the 7200RPM HDD front, nothing has changed.....

Suppose I should send an email to dell and let them know???? would they listen? heheheh bad link bad link.....

The 7200 has been disappeared from the 1210 and the 1505 for a few days now.
