    Hey all,

I repeatedly hear people mention Dell kiosks. Where does one find those ? I asked around, and noone in the Boston area seems to know of one. I finally made my way to a Walmart store. There is one in Natick, MA on route 9, maybe 25 minute drive from Boston. O my god, what a junk shack, everything is DIRTY, stuff is on the floor, this gotta be the filthiest department store kind of thing I have ever been in. I would never buy anything there. They definitely have NO laptops, all they have is one shelf with printer ink, CD writables and small crap like that. I asked about laptops and they were laughing and said Walmart does not sell computers.....
So whats with the Walmart + Dell rumor ?

Wallmart sells computers IIRC. I recall that they're selling lower-end Dells.

And Dell kiosks are well literally kiosks. You know those little "stores" you see in the middle of the mall while walking through? Just imagine the big table with maybe 6-7 laptops around in a circle.

That's pretty much how it is.

Dell kiosks tend to come in those interior malls which have all the same anchor stores (Macy's, Lazarus, Sears, etc).

Walmart stores look the way they do because everything is about cutting costs, which includes the workforce. If you can find a relatively upscale Walmart (such as a recently built Supercenter) then you might have better luck with their Dell setup.

Thanks for the link. No Dell locations in the state of Massachusetts. Thats explains that I haven't seen any. Also the few Walmart stores in Massachusetts sell little more than close to expired grocery and clothes recycled from the Salvation Army.

LOL! Yeah im from North( Almost canada) and I moved down here to Charlotte,NC about 4 years ago. The cool place to hang-out for rednecks is Wal-Mart. I despise the place, honestly. Im scared to go in there most of the time. Its like a freak show/circus.

But, im pretty much forced to go there to buy shampoo, soap...hygiene stuff. I would never buy clothes or food there. I go to target for food, or Harris Teeter.

As far as laptops....never in a million years would I buy a laptop from Walmart...I dont care if it was the fastest computer in the world and made of solid gold...screw that.

Does that mean you don't have to pay tax on your order?
