This is just a warning about using the Dell Financing program:

I just checked up on my dell account only to see that my order was increased from $2088.55 to $2233.49. I've been waiting for my ordered XPS 1330 for a bit over a month now. Really not cool Dell.

Well, they did, and I wouldn't have noticed had I not checked my account status.

Call and complain. You don't seem very upset about it; I think you should be. Was there any reason for it? With that kind of delay, they should be lowering the price if anything.

Can't call yet, Dell CS won't say anything, they just said call this number...and the office is closed. I'll get on them tonight, though. Does anyone know a specific law/code that I can quote as a threat on this?

Oh, and after my order being delayed passed my deployment date, incurring a second shipping charge and this, I'm beyond pissed.

No, they can't just charge you on a whim and they wouldn't do that just to mess with you. Just wait until you talk to them.

yea that does suck, but it does say on some pages that prices are subject to change without your consent.heres the quote : Prices subject to error, change and/or substitution at Dell's discretion at any time without notice.

The prices are subject to change at anytime without notice. They can change their prices anytime, but they can't change how much they charge you after you have already paid and your item has been shipped. Actually after your order is submitted, that price is set in stone, and they no longer have the right to change it, because you only agreed to pay the original amount when you put in your credit card info. Keep us up on what happens. I want to know what the problem is.

You could claim the price change caused emotional damage and demand a lot. :)

No, you paid for it. That charge is set in stone. Does Dell lower the price automatically if the laptop suddenly becomes $100 cheaper?...no! So should they be able to raise the price $100 or $200 after ordering?...no!

Google 'bait and switch'...Dell DFS is well known for their shady interest rate policies and have been taken to court over it before. Price 'adjustments' are within the same legal realm I'm sure.

Just tell them you feel they pulled a 'bait and switch' and (nicely) demand that they fix the price back to the original amount.

The only thing I'm worried about is to how to go about it...this is the full details as to the price changed: I was not charged tax because I live in Okinawa, of course, the recent delay forced me to either change the shipping address to someone who could ship it faster, or wait until march of 08 while it rusts in the mail. They never mentioned anything about a tax price change because the shipping location change. Do I got them here?

If the issue is tax, then you lose. Dell can not just neglect to charge you tax.
