    Dell inspiron 1200 keyboard problems

    I have just started to have major keyboard problems. Every time i type cert
    ain keys i get droped keys. Such:

    when i type:

    y i get y7
    t i get t4
    wen i push capslock i get 2 and the capslock turns on

    i hope some one can help me with this problem i tried runing spybot but it does not fix it can some one please help.

    sounds like you have the number pad feature turned on somehow, is your function key stuck?, I've never messed around with the faux number pad, go to dell support and look up your manual, or just look in your manual if you have it and it should tell you how to enable/disable, actually I think you can disable it in the bios come to think of it on my m1210, on yours I have no idea though

    I dont know, you could try a usb keyboard and see if that functions normally
