    Dell inspiron 14, studio 14z 900p screen

    Does anyone know if the 900p screen on the inspiron 14 is the same as the one on the studio 14z? It seems like people here are saying the screen on the 14z is great and I was wondering if the same panel is used in the inspiron 14, as that would be the laptop I'd like to buy.

    Dell uses several different manufacturers for their display panels. In the Studio 15, for instance, the display panels can be Samsung, AUOptronics, LG, and I think Chi Mei Optoelectronics as well.

    Odds are the Studio 14z and Inspiron 14 draw from the same lot of panels, though.

    My Inspiron 1440 with 900p LED lists "CMO1447" as the monitor ID, which I believe is the Chi Mei Optoelectronics N140O6 panel. That's the same one the Studio 14z uses.
