    Dell inspiron 17r SE - Web cam/mic not working

    Hey guys,

    My dad has just been shipped off abroad for a 6 month holiday with the military, and we are trying to get skype up and running.

    Now, for some reason my Web cam/internal mic just wont play ball. My mic is listed within the sound control panel but no sound is detected. I cant find any mention of them in the device manager and no drivers seem to be available for it.


    Can anyone offer any suggestions?

    They should be detected in device manager but since their not I would make sure they are plugged in to the mobo. If they were disabled or something like that they would still show in device manager
