    Hi,

How is the HD display on the Inspiron 17r SE as compared to the FHD display on the HP-DV6 7000 .?

Read everywhere and seems that people are praising it a lot for how good the display on the dv6-7000 are .?

How does the HD display on the Inspiron 17r SE compare to it in terms of brightness and contrast .?

I have owned both, returned the HP due to buying an Alienware. The HP is probably a bit better overall due to design. The screen is about the same on each unless you compare them side by side. Neither screen is really good or really bad. I would probably get the HP to be honest but my 17 S.E. is great for pretty much everything but hardcore gaming.

Well the dv6 and the inspiron 17r SE should be the same in gaming , since they have the same config right .?

Infact the 17rSE stays much cooler than the burning dv6 right .?

Hell, they both get hot. My GT 650m has got up to 86 C with memory OC'ed to max in MSI afterburner. You cant expect cool temps from a laptop with 100 watts of heat pouring out of a 3 inch fan on the side.

And does the GPU boost bug in the inspiron 17r SE affect gaming .? Is the throttling of GPU boost also due to increased temp .? And do the temperatures increase while gaming .?
