    Hi, I am new here, can anyone help me as the Dell team don't seem to want to as i bought the Dell inspiron 640m off ebay and have no registration details.
    when i try and boot up the notebook, there are 2 flashing padlocks in the top left hand side, one is a flashing A, the other a flashing downarrow.
    it sounds as if the systems wants to boot up, but after a few seconds it just closes down. i can't even get to a screen.
    help somone please.......
