    Hi guys
    Im buying a Dell Inspiron 8600 Intel(r) Pentium(r) Processor at 715 (15.4"WXGA)
    512 Ram
    60GB HDD
    64MB video card
    Docking station, This does not have a serial or a parrell port, no infrared aswell..
    It doesn't have a bluetooth....
    im getting this for AUD$3000.00. Could you guys let me know if this is Ok or do i need to have any changes to be done to this configurations...
    Any input on this laptop......

    In order to help you out, and tell you if the machine is good enough. Tell us what you are using it for? I'm guessing the processor is the 1.5 ghz i believe thats the only 715 (at least in canada). Are you using this machine for gaming? Designing stuff... just typing things out? just post what your using it for...

    And another thing you could do to shave a bit off the price, is reduce the ram to 256 then order more from an aftermarket supplier. Dell more than doubles the price of it, but there are scores of us who run 1 gig of ram we bought from elsewhere. It is simple to install as well.
