    Dell inspiron Problem?!

    Dear All
    i have some questions about my laptop dell inspiron 6400

    1-i'm format drive c and reintsall winxp home orginal,so i need to install media direct .i'm search in internet but don't find link to download it(NOTE:i download old version from dell site but when i install it tell me *can not install in this machean*)so can any one give me anewer version of media direct or can tell me what is the problem.

    2-when i go(right click on my computer--manage--disk managmeant) i see three parts, the fist one 103MB and the second 3.14GB and the third 106GM ,and the last one it my drive c.what about the first and second part and how can i access to its?and what banafit from it?

    Media Direct installation CD is normally shipped with the notebook. If you live in US or in a country where DELL has a local web site then you can ask them to send you another CD. AFAIK it is not available for download.

    Read Format Xp On Dell Laptops Guide. It has a step by step guide on how to format and install Windows + MediaDirect. If that thread is not helpful enough, then use the search function and search for the phrase "Media Direct", there are plenty of threads discussing problems related to MD reinstalling.
