    hey, i just got a dell1520 and noticed that whenever i boot, teh harddrive will continually load for about 5 minutes after windows and all my programs have started up. Is this normal and does any other inspiron owner have this issue?? i contacted dell tech support and they claimed its perfectly normal.

    It's normal. It's just Vista preloading and indexing your HDD

    do a disk defrag and let your pc sit on and for at least a day straight.
