so my 2.5 years old 1420 is dying. But want to give a shot at reviving it!

    Here are the issues-
1.couple of months back my keyboard stopped working. wouldn't type anything at all! so bought a replacement keyboard from dell. hooked it up, but still wouldn't work (Was working with the windows onscreen keyboard all this while).
    2. and now, when i boot up, the bios screen is all pink! and when i do enter windows, there are pink grains all over the screen. any time i open up a white background, e.g. i. explorer, it is all pink!

Will a motherboard replacement work in this case? Or is it a screen issue as well?

    Please help!

I don't know what's going on with the keyboard, but the display issue could be a bad screen, a bad connection, or a bad GPU. If you use the machine with an external display, does it still show up pink?
