i have problem with my dell inspiron 1521
    Firstly, i have reinstalled VISTA.
Secondly i decided to instal drivers, one of them, i load and there was BIOS driver, it was installing in DOS program, i decided that it i don't need it and i pressed turn ON/OFF button to restart my laptop, after that my laptops screen had not turned on. it does not show anything. like it is broken. Maybe my DOS card witch is integrated, can be broken or smth like that?

If you turned off your notebook during the BIOS upgrade then you have pretty much ruined your notebook.

You just destroyed your motherboard! You can not under any circumstance turn off a computer while it is the middle of flashing the bios! And there is no such thing as a dos card...

I thought in some cases you could try and flash the bios using an external floppy drive.

In a case like this, the only thing you could do is get your hands on another BIOS chip, boot the flash program with that chip, hotswap the chips and flash the BIOS on the fried chip. It's not for the feint of heart, especially if the chip isn't socketed.

Considering the skill level of the poster, I'd say he's screwed.
