I am truely AMAZED! I know that some might have their problems with Dell, and maybe with time I will have my problems with them too, but right now I couldn't be happier.

I ordered an Inspiron 6000 last Tuesday. The computer shipped last Friday. Then this Tuesday (3 days ago), I saw on Dells website that they were offering free printers with the Inspiron 6000. So I got on Dell chat (dell.com/chat) and spoke to someone about it. I stated my case, and within 5 minutes they ordered me a free printer. This was Tuesday afternoon. I got the printer Thursday afternoon. Pretty good, huh.

Then yesterday I decided I wanted my XP CD and driver disks. So I got on Dell chat again. Within two minutes the situation was resolved, they would send me out the CDs. That was at 4pm. Well noon today the CDs arrived by DHL. 20 HOURS from the time I called. Freakin' AMAZING.

I couldn't be happier with Dell at the moment, and I absolutely LOVE the i6000!

I encourage everyone to use Dell chat. I know a lot of the people you get when you call in are from India or whatever, and sometimes it is harder to communicate verbally. Well, it seems that they can type and read much better then they can speak and listen. So situtions get resolved easier and quicker. Give it a try next time you have a problem.

Well I am glad that you had such a nice experience with Dell.

I also have a good experience with Dell. I ordered my Dell D810 from Small business on Thursday, got here Thursday which is nice. Considering Memorial Day.

Also I do recommend people use Dell Small Business for odering things as Tech support from them is US except in a very rare high call volume.

1 dead pixel and 1 stuck pixel (that later came unstuck) on my new 6000. called dell support. told her what was up and less than 5 minutes later had a new 6000 on order. replacement had zero defects in the lcd. sent the original back in the replacement's box. easy as pie.

Just so you know. The i6000 supports 533MHz DDR2 RAM in dual-channel, but Dell only installs 400MHz DDR2 RAM from the factory. So, if you want faster RAM you need to order the i6000 with a small amount of RAM and buy your own 533MHz DDR2 RAM. I ordered my i6000 with 256MB and bought 2 512MB Micron 533MHz DDR2 chips. Now my i6000 has 1GB of 533MHz DDR2 RAM.

    LuckMC11,
The coupons that are issued this week need a special e-value code. Most of the time, you can just use the Inspirons listed on their home page (only works with home, not biz), but the coupons are different this week. Click on the link below, and it will take you to the correct Inspirons (9300 is listed and customizable on the link).

    http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/value?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs

Once you've customize your system, then add it to your cart and the coupon should be automatically deducted [ :D]

    Hope this helps,

    ~SG~
