    Dell keyboard help!

    My home keys (a,s,d,f,j,k,l, ;) are typing letters along with numbers whenever i use them.... Basically everything comes out like this

    a1 s2 d3 f4 j7 k8 l9 ;0 when i use the keys mentioned above.

    when i use the numbered keys i also get the same thing...

    a1 s2 d3 f4 5 6 j7 k8 l9 ;0

    Please help i don't know how to fix this....

    Try turning off Num Lock. Depending on the system, Num Lock may be a key by itself, or it could be Fn+F11.

    Thank you so much... i have a "num lk" key which is above my f11 key i kept trying that but it didn't work...

    I hit the fn+f11 key and voila... thanks so much i didn't know that keys could be locked in that manner... and can't understand why any would want to do that! Thank You!

    That only happened when I spilt something on the keyboard and screwed up the connections.

    Weird...you may want to actually call Dell. Also check your BIOS to make sure that NumLK is set to off (mine occasionally turns itself on).
