    I currently own a dell laptop and have the problem of it overheating very quickly as opposed to other laptops I have used. Is this a normal occurance or could it be a problem with my personal notebook.

    What sort of temprature is the CPU and GPU running at? What applications are running on the laptop when its overheating?

    What are the temps? What's the environment you're using this thing? Are you providing adequate ventilation around the fans, etc?

    its an m1710 xps fans are all working temps are fine but the bottom is boiling and all the labels have melted away

    my brother had this problem. make sure your bios is up to date that fixes the problem.
