    Hi,

Im not sure if this is the right place to ask this. If not sorry ahead of time.

What I want to do is connect my Dell 6400 to my tv. I've never done this before but I was thing of using a S-Video cable from my laptop to my TV. Would this work? And if so are there any comands I need to use on my laptop for it send the feed to my TV? Also does anyone know how I set my TV to view s-video input?

Sorry alot of questions but ive never done this before.

    Thanks

    Edit:
Oh would it be better to use s-video to s-video cable or s-video to 3 RCA?

I got tired of buying connections that didn't do the job, so I purchased a dedicated video converter called Web Cable Plus from a company called AITECH. Goes from VGA to my TV and overall I'd say the picture is good, and the execution is flawless. In other words, it's a no brainer to hook up and it works without any complications. It's also USB powered, so it doesn't even need to be plugged in. Worth a look and not very expensive either. I found this the easiest way for me to get video from the web or downloaded content on to my TV.

Actually, if you own a Dell6400 like you said, it does have a S-Video jack. I own a Dell 6400 myself and use that feature quite often. I use a S-Video cable to connect from my laptop to my TV. I believe at first you have to configure the display options. If not, just plug the S-Video cable into the jack and the other end to your TV, and then close the lid. The picture should appear on the TV automatically. If it doesn't try closing and opening until it does. I do this without a problem so I'm sure it should work with you too.
