Hi, just got my m1330 and love the led screen (I have a Chi Mei), but I have noted flickering on the lowest and second lowest brightness settings. is anyone experiencing this and has anyone gotten a repair/replacement screen? I heard the toshiba screens don't have this problem?

    thanks.

My very first m1330's screen had this problem along with some other screen related problems. However I did find that it's brightest setting was a bit brighter than my newer m1330s.

Dunno what caused it or if it will get worse, as i got rid of that particular m1330 post haste :p.

chatted with dell. they wanted me to upgrade to bios a07, the newest intel pci-e driver and dell system software for vista 32bit. no dice. still had the flicker. anyone else can weigh in on this. is it a software or hardware issue?

probally a hardware issue. Have them replace the screen.

My Chi Mei m1330 LED screen does this too. It seems to be a flaw with the screen...mark it down as one of many flaws with the Chi Mei part.

Chi Mei LEDs are fatally flawed, almost every one of them are shipped with horrid problems. Contact Dell for an exchange.

What is the flaw I'm supposed to be seeing in those pictures?
The color temperature is a little different, but is there something else?

From what I can see I agree with the above poster.

Both monitors look great, very bright and vibrant.

You can't really tell from the camera pictures but on the CMO screen if you look closer, you can see it's grainy and little horizontal lines across the screen. Also, when i put my cmo to lowest settings, I also get some flickering.

The screen looks perfect to me from what I can see in the pictures.

My screen that flickered on the lowest brightness setting also had horizontal lines across the screen. Really makes you wonder what kind of quality control the m1330's go through before they're shipped out.
