I am curious why there are so few threads about the m1420- I just read the review of it on pcmag and it seems like a great laptop. It even boasts WSXGA (1,440-by-900) resolution which the (correct me if I'm wrong) the sexier, slimmer m1330 doesn't have ! The only negative seems to be that the battery doesn't last as long as it did with the 1401 maybe due to Vista and better video card combo? The only reason I can think of is that it's overshadowed by its big sister, the ,1520, and its little brother (the show stealer), the m1330....it's a pity as it seems worthy of a lot more attention. .And I would personally chooose it over the bigger m1520 for greater portability

The XPS isn't the little brother by by means. It's leagues, nay, miles ahead in terms of style, build, and performance for its size. Besides, the 1420 should have been offered with at least a 8600GS, if anyoen is to take it seriously.

Many people like to travel with thier laptop so the 1330 is the perfect fit since it is smaller.
