They are hella cheap on ebay, but after reading about the problems on this forum, it seems that there a few grainy screen problems. Since ebay sellers have a lot of refurbished laptops, are they more prone to grainy screens?
Anyone have experience with m1530 specifically through ebay?
Also, would this computer be able to handle light-medium video editting(premiere and decoding)?

i bet those refurbs are really grainy and come with "lots of hassle" return guarantees.

was thinking about that too, but they are $400 cheaper in some cases. wondering if i should take the chance

they prolly come from the outlet
Why dont you buy from the outlet yourself
If your not happy with the quality you can always return it
Im on my second 1530 from the outlet, i gave the first one to the misses
They are perfect in every way , big saving too -
Outlet, as in their website? Or the outlets in malls and stuff? Or ebay? haha
Ebay is a better bargain for the money if the screen isn't messed up and i'm guessing mall outlets/dell.com will have the same price -
look on slickdeals.net
2.4ghz 160gb hd, 4 gb ram brand new for about 900 dollars!

I bought a m1530 refurb on ebay off a UK company called Ecomputers Ltd, everything works perfectly. I got an LG screen it also came with a 3 year warranty and all the accessories. I'd recommend this company highly, it was also
cheaper than buying from the Dell Outlet here in Ireland -
forget ebay jump on that deal on slickdeals now! I thought I got a deal but damn that is amazing.
It's really hit or miss on ebay, what I would do is make sure the laptop is still on warranty by Dell, and ask the seller to transfer the warranty. I wouldn't buy one without a warranty.
oh yeah OP, your from norcal aren't you? -

It already expired
. What about dell coupons? would that be more of a bargain than ebay?
