    Hello to all :)

    Well i've not posted here much but being a new user of laptops and Vista, and pretty much everything to do with computors, i have found this website excellent!

    I have much admiration for most people on here for their brilliant tips. I haven't had to ask much about problems as i've found the answers just by searching, however, as i'm getting more adventurous i would like to fix a things that's bugging me.

    I have a Studio 1535 bought off Ebay in October
    T8100 proccessor
    3gb Ram
    ATI 3450
    160gb HDD
    Vista home premium 32bit
    Funky looking Mike Ming design lid ( i know i know, i couldn't resist)

    Now lets get down to business hehe... I hate Dell Media Direct! Does anyone know of a way to have the touch button thing load up WMP instead, it would be of so much more use to me than that awful Dell program. It's no big deal, but has been grating on me for a while now.

    Other than that and the famous eject light problem, my only other gripes are the general creakiness of the build and poorly fitting joints but i understand this is common place with these beasts so i won't make a big deal out of it.

    Overall i love this thing :D I just want to customise it a bit :cool: !

    For me MD was a pain in the *you know where*..I removed it shortly after receiving my 1530. :eek:

    I'd rather have a notebook without MD, any day!

    Did you end up getting it removed per atbnet's link provided above??

    Cin', i'm gonna have a crack at it a little later when my brain isn't frazzled after working all day :confused:
