    Hi,
recently I tried to use mediadirect to play a dvd on my M1210.The Dell mediadirect startup screen appeared and just turns into a blank sreen with the hour glass icon and just hangs there.
I called the dell support and was guided to reinstall media direct by deleting the 3gb partition using disk management and formating it to ntfs and reinstall media direct. However after installation, it still did not work.

I was than guided to repair windowsXP with the same results and finally told to format and reinstall winXP.The reinstallation of WinXP created more problems as quite a number of files were missing and message was that a particular file cannot be located on the I386 folder.Though I continued with the installation, the end result was a not functioning mediadirect and a half baked os. Now dell says they will send me a new winxp cd.

Anyone here have this problem? and reconmend some solutions. thanks
