Iv got two questions;![]()
First off i recently bought the new Dell Media Remote (new black one). Recently i found that if i had a web page/word document selected i could use the buttons on the remote to scroll up and down etc.
Is there anythign else i can use it for? Is there a way i can re-configure the buttons on it to do other tasks, swopping windows, closing windows etc?
Also, with the media buttons on the laptop itself (the light up ones at the top), Is there any way i can configure the far left one (its got a movie type symbol on it) to open up Windows media player? The reason being it doesnt do anything (iv just put windows 7 on) and i tend to use WMP a lot.
thanks guys![]()

If you do a forum search for something along the lines of 'remap media direct button' that will bring up a few threads where people have talked about changing the media direct button to suit their needs.
The far left button should be the media direct button. -
The button boots firefox now (via a download from a link i found). Still couldnt find a way to chnage it to WMP though. Looked in the registory and looked for downloads and still didnt get much luck.
At least it doesnt something though!
Would still be interested in finding out any tips or tricks with the remote though
