I'd been contemplating buying the D630 or perhaps the ATG630 but elsewhere on this board I read that an updated version of each is to be introduced in June. But I also see that Dell has been offering the Latitude XFR on the US website for the past month, while it does not appear to be available at all from Dell Canada. Given that the supply of any new product may be limited, can we expect Dell to delay offering the new product lines in Canada?
Also, would anyone care to speculate as the whether the new Latitudes are likely to be offered with Windows XP as an option (as the current ones are)?

seems like we always get things a little later (not much) once they are released in the states and no break on pricing either...

Regarding XP, I wait to see whether or not this was just 1st April news.
I get the impression that business is not stampeding towards Vista at the moment, in spite of SP1.

As far a prices are concerned I've hunch that Dell Canada just pulls numbers out of a hat or uses a random number generator. Usually they're higher in Canada than they are on the US site (I configured a d630 which was going to be 35% more costly in US dollars than the identical config on the US site) but sometimes they're lower.
And I see that XP Pro costs $299 at Best Buy USA and $399 ($393.69 US at today's exchange rate) at Best Buy Canada... a 32% premium. Over at Apple, Mac OSX costs the same on Apple's US and Cdn sites.
Nonetheless, I'm mostly concerned with the timing, as I don't mind waiting for two months but I don't really want to wait for four.
