I have purchased a number of Dell computers over the years but it seems in the past year or so service has really slipped - especially on their business lines. Dell advertises next business day onsite service but I have been waiting almost 2 weeks for a new wireless card that went bad on a latitude. Apparently, stocked parts are the problem and no one can tell me when it will be back in stock. Another issue I had was ordering a replacement LVDS cable for a precision m4800. It took me 4 different reps before I could even find someone who could locate it using a part number. The first 3 told me that the part is no longer available..... When I told them the m4800 was still in production they just shrugged. At least the part is ordered but now it has been delayed twice and again no one can tell me when it will ship. The Latitude and Precision lines always been backed by great service but not anymore it seems.
