Just got my 9300 with the below specs and love it, but am having second thoughts as to whether I should have went with the True Life display. I do like the shiny displays and the viewing angle they offer, but was reluctant to get this one due to the horror stories of the super small text and the sparkle issues. Anyway, I was considering trading up for the WUXGA, but noticed Dell is no longer offering the 7200 RPM HD as a customize option on any of the notebooks. Does anyone know what happened. Did they lose their contract with Hitachi or are they just in short supply?

Scott- First of all I have the UXGA display and the small text (which can be made larger) looks just fine- its just that the screen is unevenly lit and "blotchy" so I am getting anew one. That "sparkle" thing is no big deal andis not noticeable IMO. As far as the 7200 RPM drives go, mine crashed on my first 9300 and Ihave had one on an IBM crash late last year. I belive that Hitachi (Formerly IBM drives) is the only company that makes these and I think they are having quite a few more failures than they wanted, so maybe they are pulling them. BUt really there is not tons of difference between the 7200 and the 5400 RPM drives, 7200- 4200 is quite another story.
