I am stuck, I don't know which one to get for my wife, 6000 with SXGA screen or 700m, 700m has a MUCH better screen but small, 6000 is bigger but not as good of a screen, also I was thinking to use it as DVD player in the car while traveling. Can't make my mind, ordered 700m and now thinking about it, probably cansel and get 6000 for bigger screen and keyboard.

    PS: Help!

I think the Dell small business has the better deal. You can get the base system configured under $900 after rebate since they have free shipping. It's limited to 500 uses. Same configuration in home comes out to be a bit more expensive.

I'm surprised this coupon is still good. Normally on ones like these, they expire within a matter of hours.

It's because the only good configuration was for 700m, other were so-so, not much configuration there.

I think I’m gonna cancel my 700m order, I want a better video, that thin is seductive, but video sucks big time. Will wait till they make it better. But I would really wanted to get a 13 inch version on it, why do they not making those?

I didn't check them out very closely, but that would explain it. A few months ago you could completely customize your own system. I hate the way it is now.

The base configuration for Dell business comes out to $1,033.00 after tax and with $150 rebate, it's only $883. The best thing about it is that it includes one 512 mb ram instead of two. If you configure the same from Dell home, the same exact system come out to a bit over $900. Dell home tack on a $19 handling charge but Dell business has free shipping (you have to change the shipping option from check out).

Try configuring the same system from both Dell business and Dell home and see. The only disadvantage to buying the Dell business special is that it's a rebate and you will have to wait a while to get the rebate where as the $750 off is instant. BTW...for Dell home, you'd have to buy a system over $850 to get free shipping but there's still $19 handling charge.

The deal I'm talking about is this:

    Dell Biz: Inspiron 700m notebook P-M 1.6GHz 512MB DVD+-RW 12.1in Wifi $799 shipped AR, Expiring 7/15!

    Dell Small Business has this special configured Inspiron 700m Notebook w/ P-M 1.6GHz, 12.1in WXGA, 512MB DDR, 40GB, DVD+-RW, 56k/NIC/802.11g, XP Home, 1yr Warranty for only $1398 - special $449 coupon code: S95P23VL?K?4F7 (exp 7/15, limit 500 uses) - $150 rebate = $799 w/ free shipping.

I got the 700M for my GF, and she absolutely loves it. It's a great performing notebook, excellent screen, and lightweight. My friend has the 6000, and he is very happy with his notebook, although it is bigger. I guess, it comes down to a personal decision/preference. Both are great notebooks.

    It's $799 after mail-in rebate. I personally hate mail-in rebates...they take forever, and sometimes don't even come.

Actually it's not $799 after rebate. It's $883.33. It's only $799 if you are tax exempt. That's because you're purchasing from Dell business and some businesses are tax exempt. Wish I had a tax exempt business. I hate rebates too because it does take too long but I've always received my rebates.

BTW.. Dell home with the same config. comes out to $910.97. Difference is minimal, only $ 27.64.

The only thing that got me into ordering 700m was that it has the ONLY good screen from Dell which has white whites, nothing else, I don't really like 12", 13" would be a killer with normal keyboard, but I am willing live with it for this kind of price. Nothing else in Dell's line interests me as far as screen goes.

I don't know what is talking about, caz I got 1.8, 60G, 256 at 766+tax&SH. I don't think it is more expansive than business, caz I can pick stick of 1G for 110 bux else where.

The coupon still works at small business however still charging $19 for handling when you enter zipcode..... it says Lowest Cost 3-5 Day Delivery $39.00 - $39.00 = $0.00 at checkout - but will they still tack on the $19???

I added extra 8 cell battery for $129 and the 80gb hard drive, everything else is standard. No warranty though - the 750 deal off includes 1 year....

Cost $1177 - 150 rebate, thats $1022, even if you subtract the extra battery your at around $900 plus tax and shipping.
