But there is a tick by kitting build and testing.
The boxing is clickable , but no tick yet. Does this mean my order would arrive sooner?
I placed it on my local website , Trinidad and Tobago though.

My guess is you'll get it sooner than that.

I am going with Zazonz and say you'll get sooner also. Once there is a checkmark by a certain phase, it means that phase has been completed. Usually preproduction and production are pretty quick (3-5 days). Then boxing takes 3 business days.

Unless you have something that they had on back order, you'll generally get it in about 3 weeks.

LOL, sounds like you'll have it soon. Here is the breakdown on the boxing & shipping stage:

Boxing stage is around 3 days. This is when the laptop is being transported from Malaysia to Tennessee. Once it is in Tennessee (status will change to prepare for shipment or shipped), a 3rd party transporter takes it from the Dell Center to the regional UPS/FedEx/DHL center. Mine went to the Kansas City regional center, but I'm not sure if that is standard center for all or not. You should receive a tracking number by email or it will be in order status.

When you try to track it, it will say something along the lines of "received shipping confirmation, but not package" until it reaches the regional center. With mine, it reached regional center on Wed, and I received my laptop on Friday.

omg, i just went to my shipping status and now it doesnt say boxing, kitting, building or w/e, its a screen saying in transit and some stuff. Does that mean they shipped it? it does say under status details "order shipped - 11/30/2005" hopefully it was shipped! btw, you will probably get it sooner, since my estimated ship date was dec. 16th, and it just got shipped yesterday!!!! someone tell me if im right that it was shipped!

if your order status says shipped or it has a checkmark by shipped, then yes your order has been shipped. You should see a tracking number on your order status under the shipped. If you don't, you can either call dell or chat with them to get the tracking number.

Dell's updates are almost always a case of under promise and over deliver. I ordered a PC for a family member a couple weeks ago and it shipped 2 days early. It's one of their tactics to make you feel better ;)

    Hey dinesh,

My 9300 that was ordered on Sunday Nov. 27th, has already been boxed up and headed to the shipping company. I'd say you'd most definately should be getting it shipped before the new year, possible by the end of this week or beginning of next week. Unless you have something special that may be out of stock.

As for the shipping, since you're outside of the US, that's another story!

    Ahaha I know it is.
Last time I got my Desktop from the local website, it took me about erm 3 weeks or so to get it.That was with ALOT of cancelations with the delivery service, it was right near to new years and they were packed and bad weather etc caused delays.
Hopefully I should get it before the January 16th estimated date.
