    Hi Guys,
Like most of you I have been following the numerous posts regarding the grainy screen issue. It seems that there are 2 routes most people follow. They either return the laptop or Dell sends out a replacement screen. Based on this I have a few questions:

    1) Does Dell consider a grainy screen a part that has to be replaced prior to it being released to the outlet as a refurb.?

    2) Since laptops at the outlet have an id#, all the parts should be able to be identified by a csr. Can`t you call prior to placing an order and using the id# have a rep. identify the screen manufacturer?

It seems like this would be a way to at least avoid the samsung screens, while that might not be a guarantee it seems it would improve the odds of getting a better screen.
Just a thought. Sorry if this has already been kicked around.
