    Hey guys,

Just got my 1420! Its great. I went to reinstall vista tho, and wanted to setup up my own partitions. And noticed there is about a 10gb recovery partition (d :) and a hidden utility partition about 20mb. Do you think these would be safe to delete? As i have received the vista dvd with the computer anyway.

Just some notes about my 1420.
    - excellent build quality. much better than my previous 700m, and just as good as my asus a7jc.
    - 9 cell battery is a little loose. yes it is annoying! but i believe i can live with it. not sure if the 6 cell does the same.
    - screen hinge is excellent.
    - ok the screen, i have a sec screen which is samsung i believe? with the wxga+ gloss thing, and dont think i have the grain problem. there is some backlight bleed, but not noticeable on everyday usage. will test that out with some movies later.
    - the espresso brown is awesome! not as dark as ppl have previously mentioned. you can definitely tell the difference between black and brown even under normal lighting conditions.

Let me know if anyone has any further questions and comments about those partitions! thanks
