I'm looking at a dell refurbished 8600 for about $923. I'm looking to play games like command and conquer generals, warcraft 3, possibly HL2.

The specs on the dell are:
    Pentium M 1.6 Gigahertz
60 Gigabyte 5400 RPM hard drive
    Windows XP home
    15.4 inch WSXGA+ screen
    512 333Mhz Ram
    CDRW drive
    ATI Radeon 128 MB

That's all the specs Dell gives.

Is this a good deal? Please reply soon. Thanks

Yeah, it is a good deal provided it does not turn out a lemon.

5400rpm Hard drive and 128 meg graphics is very good buy.

Often refurbished notebooks come with short warranties. You may want to check into that.
