So today at work I get a suprise package from dell, my vista reinstall disc? Inside was a note saying some of their laptops were shipped without reinstall discs and they were sorry. Anyone else get these? I guess I have a backup since I had requested before to be sent all my CDs again.

Yup I got the Vista Basic DVD the other day with the letter. Only thing is when I did not get the OS with the Vostro I asked for it to be shipped. The shipped my Vista Premium instead of the installed Vista basic.

Anyone have any luck squeezing Vista 64-bit installation media out of them, when your laptop was only shipped with 32-bit media?

I'd like to upgrade my laptop (see specs in tagline) to 4gb someday, but obviously I'd need 64-bit Vista for that, and I really don't want to actually buy another license when I already own one that ostensibly is perfectly good for both 32-bit and 64-bit operation.
