I'm on the most basic warranty(1 year) on Dell Outlet. After talking with the dell support guy on the phone about my faulty HD on my referb inspiron 1545 that i just received, he said he was going to send me a replacement Hard Drive for me to install.

I forgot to ask him at the time, but do you think I will be charged for the replacement?

Don't believe I should be, but if I am it is really going to frustrate me because I could easily replace it for cheaper than what they might charge me.

If it is being replaced under your warranty, I am pretty sure they will not charge you for the replacement.

They always tell you that you are going to be charged, I have been going through a month long ordeal with them and they always tell me when they are going to charge me.

It's a warranty replacement. Unless you damage something yourself, you should not have to pay for any repairs or replacements during your year of warranty coverage.
