    Hi Guys,

I have a question about the new dell studio 15 in Black chainlink color. I want to know if the design is also inside the laptop like the the chains near the palm rest, im hoping not! or is that design only on older studio 15's like 1555 or 1557. Does anyone own a new dell studio 15 Blackchain link!? Thanks, the sales team doesnt know what im saying when i ask them this question, there all lost! THANKS AGAIN!

I got a black chain link 1558 as a refurb. only the top is textured/colored. palm rest is silver, black plastics around the keyboard are just shiny black.

Thanks for the reply guys, i ended up buying it. At Dell they were telling me there is no design on the inside but they were not sure, its pretty funny that they do not have sample models near them.

is it possible to manually remove the chainlink inside and have plain silver?

my previous laptop was a dell xps m1330, was this a good upgrade?

not really unless you install something on top of what is there. the chainlink is part of the color is not an added pattern/ btw, it is very light so it is hardly noticeable.
