I was just looking through my proformance and tools under the customer ratings.
Under graphics i have a ATI mob. Raedon HD 3650 and its rated 5.8, but under Gamin Graphics it says 2045 MB total available graphics memory and its rated 5.0 so its holding back my machine, but a friend of mine has a nvidia 8600 gt and it has 3071 MB. WHy is that?

Are you both using the same OS? Do you both have the same amount of memory on your GPUs? That 2048MB memory is a combination of VRAM and your system RAM

Video memory beyond the dedicated amount that's actually physically part of the card does not matter. Furthermore, the Windows benchmark is useless.
