    Hi,
I bought dell studio 15 laptop with
    core i5 processor
4GB RAM and 1GB ATI dedicated VGA. But now my VGA total memory showing as 2070MB and my RAM usage is 1.2GB(no applications are running).

I think my VGA share my RAM memory also. Please can anyone tell me how to reduce this RAM usage and VGA memory ?

I'm not sure about the VGA memory, but you might be able to reduce your RAM usage by disabling certain processes from starting up. Press Windows + R, then type "msconfig" (without the quotes). From there you can go to the startup tab and choose which services/processes to load when the computer boots up. It might be that there is a lot of bloatware or unnecessary programs on the computer (if you didn't clean install), and sometimes those run as background processes.
