    Dell to close all US kiosks, does this mean no more paying sales tax?

    I dont know If it mean the end paying the sales tax, but that would be very nice, thats around 100 dollars off the price.

    Not sure if Dell having their computers for sale in Best Buy and Walmart would qualify as them having a 'nexus' in each state or not..that'd be a question for the law majors out there :)

    Though, since they're based in Texas it doesn't save me anything :(

    If Dell has any bussiness presense in whatever the state they are operating in, they are required to pay up the sales tax.

    All would depend on Dell closing the whole operation within the state or not. If Dell has an office open in the state, I think that still means people have to pay up.

    Retailers would be responsible the sales tax in these cases.

    Yea, I was going to say that too, Dell is not connected to those stores for taxes. How do we find out if Dell has an office in your state, I live in New York and would love it wouldnt have to pay taxes on the laptop I want to buy.
