Hey I was wondering how durable is the dell touchpad? Could you damage it if u push too hard on the touchpad? Just wondering out of curiousity, cause my touchpad seems to angle slightly at the upper side of the touchpad.

I wouldn't worry about it if it doesn't affect your cursor movement.

if you can't see it, then its probably not there, there is goign to be depression in the inner squarum of the touchpad as the outer portion has the scroll functions

That could most definitely be a serious problem. You must go out RIGHT AWAY and purchase the most expensive microscope you can find. Then, cut out the touchpad from the notebook and place it on a flat surface. A sharp knife and table should do the trick. Then, carefully place the touchpad under the microscope. It is understood that you should be wearing latex gloves and a mask when proceeding with this operation. Then, have a trained doctor come to your home and perform laser eye surgery. This is to ensure you have the best vision possible. After that is done, look into the microscope and check for any damage to the touchpad. If after searching for at least two hours you cannot find any sign of major damage, you can wipe off the sweat off your face and relax. There is no problem with your touchpad.

How F****king hard are you pressing mate?? its a TOUCHpad not a THUMPpad... press your finger into your eye... now if it hurts you are putting too much pressure... now apply same to your lappy..

I accept no responsibilities for loss of sight.

He's scared that if he moves it in the wrong way, it will cut the mouse pad.

THE reason its called a touch pad is cause you just have to touch it... not press it....

The touchpad works better if you just rest your finger on it and put no additional pressure.

A touchpad works best if you use a pen - ballpoint or fountain, it doesn't matter, but not felt tip! Remember to press firmly. I find that a standard blue Papermate ballpoint works really well. Don't forget to have a bottle of liquid paper handy, just in case you make a mistake in pointing!

Let's see. You can push about THIS hard until you hear some sort of cracking noise.

I pity the fool who would ever test this.
