Just a heads up from the Gaming board that the NVIDIA drivers are updated to 174.31.

nice. I'll give them a whirl.
edit: still shows Video: nVidia GeForce 8800M GTX SLI, Driver, Windows Vista 32-bit, Multi Language, XPS Desktop M1730, v.167.55, A00 for me. -
Vostro still hasn't updated yet
No fair how come Inspiron gets updates earlier? lol
Could you test if you can still OC? -
Are you sure? I can't get the updated drivers from Dell.
The driver I have is the lv2go beta. -
The laptopvideo2go.com web site says the Vista 174.31 drivers for Acer, Asus, Dell, and Lenovo drivers listed here: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/lofiversion/index.php?t17737.html are whql certified and you don't even need the mofified inf file either for any od these laptops, I am gonna download them and have them ready when my XPS M1730 beast arrives in a week.
Update: Nevermind I just downloaded the driver and looked at the inf file and it does not have the 8800M GTX listed at all so you do need the modified inf file after all. -
Installed 174.31 and my Graphics Score increased 0.1
4.0 => 4.1

Interesting. No, I don't overclock so I can't help you with that. Yeah it also seems not all laptops get the updated drivers. So I'm guessing only the laptops that had the 15x.xx series gets this update? It would be fair in a way, as my card never had 16x.xx series drivers from DELL.
-
These are not listed on the Dell site but at LV2GO site and I have used these for a week now.
-
Yes, I don't see these listed @ Dell's site. And although the LV2GO site has them they aren't exactly new seeing that that the majority of posted comments are from the first week of March. :/
-
On the version that I downloaded it stated that the drivers were for Inspiron 1420, 1520, 1720 and XPS m1330
-
any definite benchmarks yet?
-
LOL deathstick cute kitty

Anyone else used this? I actually tried this driver when it was released at LV2go, but I reverted back to 169.09. Somehow, temps were ~5C higher compared to 169.04/09 [Idle @ pre-174.31: 46~48C. Idle @ 174.31: 51~54]. Not sure if it's the reading that's wrong or if the driver somehow made the card hotter [lol]. Besides that, didn't see a performance boost, although it did score a few points higher than 169.09 in 3dmark06 [169.04 scored higher than both .09 and 174.31 though]
-
I installed this driver on my Vostro 1400 today. The GPU temperature went up a few degree too. The 3DMark05 score went up from 3164 to 3362. I am running XP Pro by the way.
