That slot is for the Bluetooth Module IIRC.

actually you can get the laptop with an internal wireless internet card from a cell phone company such as t-mobile, etc. The sim card goes in that slot. It makes it easy to change if you travel over seas and need to change your wireless plan from domestic to international.

Correct. The SIM slot is built-in to allow for easy SIM card swapping, but there is no built-in GSM/3G radio unless you specifically order one. The optional WWAN card installs in one of two mini-PCI-e slots under the keyboard. It's not too hard to gain access to these slots, should you choose to add a card later, and the wires for the built-in antenna are already routed to the appropriate location as well.

It's not for the bluetooth module. The bluetooth module is located under the access door to the RAM slots and closest to the front of the computer on the bottom of the laptop.

As for available WWAN cards, Dell US offers an AT&T-compatible HSDPA card and cards supporting Sprint and Verizon EVDO Rev. A service. I'm not sure if the AT&T card can be used with other GSM services at EDGE/GPRS speeds. I'm also not sure which cards may be available from Dell outside the US or whether additional cards can be purchased through 3rd party vendors.

Agree, that one for broadband internet. it means when you want to use internet over the gsm or hsdpa line. :D i think beside a simcard slot, they are using another supported hardware inside? does it?

Yes, it does require additional optional hardware - the WWAN card I mentioned above. :D

They offer a 3G/HSDPA card that's listed for use with Vodaphone - Dell Wireless 5520. It's offered as a £90.00 option if built with the computer, so it's probably close to that price when purchased separately.
