Hell I'm wondering if dell warrants their repair work, and if so, for how long. I couldn't find anything on their site, and I'm wondering if I get my notebook with only 5 days warranty left repaired, if I'll get a 30 day warranty extension for the repairs made.

    thanks!

Are you sure? I can't find it anywhere, only this.

Dell owns all parts removed from repaired products. Dell uses new and reconditioned parts made by various manufacturers in performing limited warranty repairs and building replacement products. If Dell repairs or replaces a product, its limited warranty term is not extended.

Refurbished parts carry either the remainder of the system warranty (if installed) or 90 days, whichever is longer. The rest of the system is unaffected.

That's not the correct link, and I can't seem to find the right one, but yes, I am certain.

That line you quote basically states that it doesn't extend the overall warranty. The part replaced will still have a 90 day warranty regardless of system warranty.
