My 1520 screen is going bad and my 1 year warranty is about to expire in 2 months. And the bad thing about this is that I will be staying in india for at least 3 months. So would dell honor the warranty oversea?

There is a policy, If you have next business days contract you have world wide support for parts, but if you have Return to Depot contract you wont have service outside of the U.S. What you can do to have your LCD replaced is transfer the ownership, this process will take around 30 days to complete, after that your warranty will be transferred to India and they will replace the LCD for you, I suggest you to transfer the ownership ASAP, here is the link: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dellcare/en/international_ownership_transfer_form1?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&redirect=1
