I received the Dell wireless card with my Inspiron 6400 and while it's not bad, I notice that it loses connection quite a bit. Should I have sprung for the Intel one instead and return my Inspiron 6400?
Thanks.
P.S. Does anyone with a Dell wireless card experience the same problem as me?

I have the dell wireless card and it works okay, not the best though. Mine kept dropping connections until I downgradded the driver to the basic vista driver.... now it works much better... hope that helps

I think the newer dell's come with the new dell driver, which i found to perform poorly --- at least in my experience...
if ur in vista r.clilck computer > device manager > network adapters
your wireless and 10/100 cards should show up there. I think it should say dell mini wireless 1390 for your wireless card..... right click and uninstall.. the dell driver will uninstall and the system will redect the wireless card and install the basic vista driver which should work better...
If it identifies your card as Brodcom 802.11 g network adapter then it's the vista driver that's running... if it says dell mini 1390 or watever then it's the dell driver....
cheers
