Just got my e1705 laptop which is a pretty powerful machine to me except for the dell 1390 wireless card which I didn't pay attention to when I ordered it.Can anybody tell me if I can upgrade this card or not? It's really a pain compared to the whole awsome performance of this system.Or I can just go on using it?

Yes I would think you could check the Dell website.

the card is made by broadcom and is a quality card. can you be more specific about your issues because i doubt it's a quality issue.

yes, you can replace it, it's just a minipci card in your minipci slot under the notebook. you can take it out and put any minipci expansion card in there.

well, the main problem harrasses me is the 1390 card is only of capacity of 802.11b.but I heard the 802.11a/g card can be faster, right?or do you guys think b version should be enough for the speed?
