    Hi...

I am a computer science engineering student. I need to get a laptop within the next two months. I am thinking about getting a dell machine.

Can anyone tell me when the Dell lineup with the intel's new Sandybridge architecture is expected to come out? Intell is most probably going to realease the processors in CES 2011 (Jan)

Also, how much time does dell generally take on average to get a new processor architecture into their products?

And frankly, do you think I should bother with the wait? I am asking because the release is so near and I can wait if I can manage to get a better processor for the same price! ;)

Thanks a ton for reading through this.

P.S. This forum ROCKS! I learnt sooooo much from it. Keep up the good work guys! :)

Mobile solutions usually trail the desktops by a few months. I'd expect a Latitude E6420/E6520 probably Q2/2010. Usually the Latitude line gets refreshed every year-year and a half or so, give or take.

You really can't wait all the time; if you need a machine, you need a machine.
