    Try "saving" :p

    Besides
    1: it looks ugly
    2: the 8800M isn't released yet, so don't hold your breath :)

I was going to order a 1720 today, but talking to Dell rep online

ME: Will any other video cards be offered with the system in the near future?
ATG Vanessa Yes, we are always changing our configurations offered for Dell systems, so in the future we will offer more video card options.
ME: within the next month? or two?
ATG Vanessa: We do not have the exact or an approximate time when it will change, but we change promotions and sometimes configurations every week, so you can verify every week the new configuration and promotions.
ME: Will there be an option to add Vista Ultimate?
ATG Vanessa: Probably we will have that soon as well.
ME: what about the option of a 64bit OS?
ATG Vanessa: Probably that as well. But I can not guarantee it.

... so now I'm waiting for the 1730 price and yeah I'll go from there

I wouldn't hold out for a 1720 with anything more powerful than an 8600M GT. If Dell starts putting the top-of-the-line card on their $1500 models, it will kill sales of their $3000 models- which is where they have the highest profit margins.

i'm happy with what i have ordered..probably should had gone with 1420 since i dont play games alot.... but an exp is too expensive, the 17" is HUGE and.....why not get a KICKASS desktop for the same money with better specs that is built for gaming?
