I just got my new 1505 today and am ready to do a reformat. I've only tried chatting with an agent, I haven't actually called, but the agent I chatted with refused to send me PowerDVD, she said she could only send me some of the Sonic software. How do I get them to send me the correct discs? I told them I wanted to reformat and reinstall only the programs that I want.

Try chatting with Dell's tech support. They are the ones that will send you the discs that you need. If they ask why, tell them you need to reinstall it.

Hmmm... This is first...
When I chatted with CS last month they were willing to send me all the CDs next day. I guess you could cool down a bit and try again later. The person that you chatted with might not be having a great day. Next time just try to be super polite. In worst scenario, tell them to charge lousy $10 and demand the CD.

Perhaps you got an idiot rep.
Some of them don't know what they're talking about. I chatted with them for a few minutes awhile ago (before I got my system) about how one week they took all the good processors off the website and all you could get was a Core Duo 1.73GHz. First they didn't know what I was talking about, then when I explained it they had no explanation and couldn't tell me when it would be back to normal.
I don't know if they're all idiots, but that guy was. -
Thanks all, especially SouthernGirl. I just got done chatting with tech support and they're going to send me all the cd's. I probably just got someone who didn't know what I was talking about the first time.
vbrookie, I don't know how I gave you the impression that I need to cool off, as I was very polite. No biggie though.
Dell won't send me PowerDVD
