    Dell xps, crappy customization options

    Hey all, I'm in the UK and really interested in getting a dell XPS 1530. The problem is that dell uk only have one option for a screen, the standard 1280x800(not sure of the exact numbers here). I really dont want to buy at this res and would love some more options. I see that dell us and dell sa (south africa) both have many other screen options, but not the UK. Does anyone know of a way to get around this? or am I missing something?

    Call them up. They might be able to offer you options otherwise unavailable on the website.

    Yes, try placing your order over the phone.That way you will be able to get a higher resolution screen.

    Yeah, your best bet would be to call up the Sales Department for you region. Also, if you want a specific part and you know the 3-4 SKU (i.e. a part number that looks like XXX-XXXX), then the sales rep may even be able to add that part.

    I actually just made a thread about this... i thought it might be something to do with the grainy screen issues. But i will phone them up when i am ready to order.
