Well sure enough, when I type in my tacking number I did not get next day shipping as promised yet I got ground. This is pretty frustrating for some reason. It says my laptop is in transit with an estimated delivery date of tuesday. It says the shipment was acknoledged yesterday at 12 am. As of last night at 10pm it was at a dhl hub? in atlanta and it's status was in transit. I google earth'd it and I'm only a 4 hour and 30 minute drive away from atlanta. Do you guys think I'll be able to get it tommorow or am I going to get it on my EDD? I just want my lappy for my first day of college but dell can't even keep a promise. For anybody who has gotten there shipped laptop do you think I'll get mine before 6:30 pm on monday? Thanks

When is your first day of college? Monday as in tomorrow?

Is it being delivered to your home or to the college residence (assuming you've moved out of home for college that is.)

Do you think you're going to be using it that much in the first week?

Sorry if that's not at all helpful. At least consider you've already ordered yours.

Yeah my first class is in the evening at 6:30. Also yes it is being delivered to my grandparents house which is by my college and hell yeah I will be using it alot in the first week. I won't have my car to drive home between classes during the next two weeks so I'll be spending plenty of time between classes in the library so having my laptop with me would be nothing short of a plus.

When did it go to shipped? If it went yesterday or today, tomorrow is the transit day and Tuesday is delivery.

If they shipped Saturday, Tuesday is next-day since weekends don't count at UPS. It's the same as if they shipped Monday.

The way Dell (and Amazon, fo example) do next-day shipping is not always by paying UPS for next day, but often by shipping from a location such that regular ground will be delivered next day.

I'm in Chicago, mine was shipped from somewhere in Michigan. I was not promised next-day, it was not shipped next-day, but it arrived the day after it was shipped.

Next-day really means next business day.
