For only 1140$ after tax.
Dell shipped it Nov 29, estimated arrival date of Dec 1. First, FedEx didn't have any info on the tracking # Dell gave me for several days. It only appeared after I complained to Dell and they put a tracer on it. Then, it was "On Vehicle for Delivery" on Friday. No delivery was actually attempted. I called FedEx Sat morning to ask FTW. Was assured it would delivered Saturday. Nope. Been home all day both days, and there is an office manager in the lobby to take packages until the evening.
Not only am I pissed off, but I'm starting to think something fishy is going on! Has anyone else had any similar problems? I'm going to call them tomorrow and raise Hell!

That sounds suspicious / odd, but it's possible that this type of stuff happens, especially when you consider the quantity of stuff FedEx handles. Keep persistently calling them until you get it or get some answers.

Any feedback on this? Agreed you do need to be persistent with this since this is your lappy. FedEx should be able to track your Lappy with the Tracking #. And, they will probably have to do a search for it, if they cannot find it on their end.
If they they are stating to you it's "On Vehicle For Delivery"...it should also show up that way via fedex.com. Continue to "document everything". And be in contact with Dell & FedEx. My guess is FedEx is going to have to do an investigation if they can't find it. And, Dell will end up sending you a replacement order.

I called them and pretty much gave them the 3rd degree. They didn't even offer a defense because it's clear I've been screwed over. The guy said he sent a message ordering the depot to deliver my computer as early as possible on the next delivery day (Tuesday). We'll see. I told him if it's not here that day, I'm reporting it as a lost shipment to Dell...

If it was on the Vehicle for delivery for Friday, it should've been delivered for Friday, then Saturday. Now they are saying for Tuesday? Yeah somethings amiss, and sounds like they are trying to figure out where your lappy is right now.
I would tell them you want it delivered tomorrow, not Tuesday..as it was supposed to be delivered on Friday/Saturday.
If this fails...then contact Dell (w/all pertaining info)...if you don't want to wait til Tues., and advise you believe that FedEx has inappropriately handled your system delivery, and they have no idea where you package is and you are getting one excuse after another.

This, Make sure FedEx knows that it's missing and that you want an explanation. As sad as it may be, a lot of packages probably tend to go "missing" in transit around this season. Hopefully it was just a mixup on FedEx's part and not something more sinister.

lol wow customers like you really make me laugh. You have no idea what us as fed ex drivers go through with customers like you. First i bet you live in a apartment complex / condo right with someone downstairs..a concierge right? well i bet this is what happend because we HAVE to attempt stops, we have a hand held with gps that shows if we dont attempt. I bet the person showed up i bet the person was taking a dog for a walk or something, concierges do like that. And they probally looked for you in the call box only to either a not find you, b call and you not answer, or c they called but you have a number that goes to a message stating sorry but this number can not be dialed? Usually the reason why a customer doesnt get their owner is because the customer doesnt do something right. They dont put a apartment number, they put the wrong zip code, they put se instead of sw, all sorts of things. Im sorry our way of doing things arnt perfect, but 99% of issues are from the customers not paying attention when the order is placed. Every morning i have about 5 stops that i have to take to our cage area just to have someone try to find the correct address for me for a stop because when ordering the person didnt put the correct info. Stop your ing, we dont care at fed ex when its your mistake, or your lil concierge isnt there. .

OP's issue was solved ~ Of course he is going to be concerned of his package when hes paying a lot of money for his lappy, and it wasn't delivered when it was supposed to be. And, he cannot get a defining answer from anyone at "Fed Ex".
